Everyone has there favorite Italian "Red Sauce" place. Where they go for good basic Italian.
At first glance Lombardi's looks like that, but it's more. It is now a favorite of ours.

From the beautiful, temperate region of Galacia, Spain called Rias Baixas comes this delightful Albarino called Licia.
Discovered at a favorite NY restaurant, Employees Only. I always love there wine selections. I found this wine smoother and more sophisticated than many Albarinos I have tasted. Very nice citrus fruit and smooth balance sugar to acid. Perfect for seafood, hummus, chicken and Spanish cheese.

My son is off to Hockey Camp tomorrow, and wouldn't you know it his iPod, the essential travel companion, battery went dead. So I volunteered to make the trip up to the Apple Store at Garden State Plaza Mall. No doubt there will be an Apple Store in Montclair before long, but for now it is Paramus or Short Hills.
While there I got to play with the new iPhone. I am generally very hard to impress when it comes to new technology devices, but this one knocked my socks off.
It is awesome and will be on my must have list.
I am thinking about all the food and wine I can access.

I love Greek Wine in the Summer. It is fresh, delightful and goes well with light summer dishes. The quality of Greek wine has improved dramatically over the last 20 years. It is not just Retsina any more.
A perfect example is a white from Ktima Pavlidis winery in Northern Greece.
