We have a new author here who will be writing a new series of posts called MANO A VINO AFTER DARK. Please let me introduce Nell Conway.
Millennial, Gen-Yer, what ever label you may attempt to apply, she offers the voice of another generation. And we are excited to share her words.
Here is her first review of a very interesting liquor called Agwa de Bolivia. Not to my taste in particular but very enjoyable nonetheless.
Coca leaves provide the body with natural stimulates creating energy as well as healing nausea and various wounds. Being a fan Redbull-Vodka, which is not a recommended mixture due to opposing effects of upper and downer of both substances, I was intriguied by Agwa de Bolivia's ability to provide similar effects in a much safer manner. Check out Agwa de Bolivia, for more details on the coca leaf and production of Agwa de Bolivia.
Appearing in the bottle as a neon green substance my first choice was to drink the liquor straight up. I found the taste to be refreshingly medicinal. The liquor enhanced my energy and provided me with a fun night of dancing and socializing.
My second taste of Agua de Bolivia was in one of their recommended cocktails which I have come to name Bubbly Lime - 1/5 oz. AGWA de Bolivia Coca Leaf Liquor, 5 oz. chilled Prosecco and a lime peel.
Dad tasted this cocktail too and loved it.
