Had lunch here again today, the food just keeps getting better. Glad to see the place was packed. Brunch on Saturday and Sunday is not to be missed.
When it starts getting chilly I long for that beautiful part of Mexico on the eastern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula they call the Riviera Maya where you can swim in the beautiful clear blue Caribbean Sea. Wonderful places like Playa Del Carmen, Akumal and Tulum. And there is nothing like lounging on the beach and then enjoying authentic Mexican cuisine at one of the many wonderful beach-side taquerias, bars, cafes or restaurants you find there.
Well maybe in January, but until then I will be enjoying the delicious authentic Mexican cuisine you can find at our nearby Taqueria Authentica.
I have enjoyed their fare from their truck at the Montclair Farmers Market many a time. My first time at their cozy restaurant was for lunch this past week.
The varied menu offers Tacos, Tortas, Tostadas,
Quesadillas, Enchilladas and more. You can count on everything being fresh made of the best wholesome ingredients. Lots of meat and veggie offerings, very reasonably priced.
We tried a variety of tacos likes these, house made chorizo, zucchini and corn, and a special pumpkin taco. My friend Alex had some of the beef versions. We both had a side of brown rice and tasty black beans. It was all so delicious. I can't wait to get back for more.
Taqueria Authentica is doing Sunday Brunch now from 9:30 to 1:00.
All I was missing, which I will bring next time, is an ice cold bucket of Cerveza to wash down the delicious medley of flavors and spice hot sauce. Bohemia or Negro Modelo are my first choice, but a nice Corona Extra will do as well, just be sure to bring some lime.
