Here is a fun and flavorful Sauvignon Blanc. It lights up on the tongue and delivers a delicious array of tasty flavors. They are not deep and long lasting but for the short burst very satisfying.
Some who have reviewed this wine have utterly despised it. Everyone to their own taste. But we liked it and at $9-10 we will buy more.
Cupcake Vineyards, Monterey County, CA makes this wine with grapes from New Zealand.
"Our vineyard works hard to bring you the zestiest, most refreshing Sauvignon Blanc from the cool Marlborough valley. Here the grapes mature slowly, giving them layers of complexity and a vibrant zing, reminiscent of your grandma's lemon chiffon cake. The flavors are integrated, delighting the senses with layer upon layer of Meyer lemons, key limes and a finish that awakens the appetite.--Winemakers Note
Juicy and bright, with grapefruit, lime, nectarine and herb flavors in a lovely balance, lingering attractively." --Winemakers Note
Found at Shopppers Vineyard for $10, Shoprite Liquors Little Falls $9.00

The Cupcake chardonnay has been making the rounds at the neighborhood happy hour for weeks now. Not my favorite wine as it doesn't have much complexity but it seems to do the trick for a fair number of people.

Cupcake is a little head turner. Not overly excited about name, but the wine definitely makes up for it.
Chard shows well too.
