If you are a "Cocktail-ophile" like me, particularly one who cares a lot about classic cocktails like a perfect Martini, Manhattan or Old Fashioned, as I am, you can be very concerned about the vermouth you are using.
Yet I have always been perplexed when facing the choices in my local liquor stores. They all offer an array of red, sweet, and white, dry, Vermouth at a price range of $5-10. Now one comes along a vermouth that sells for $18-20, I took notice.
Dolin Vermouths are notably lighter, drier and less pungent than their larger commercial counterparts. The particular mixture of plants found near Chambéry give a fresh, restrained and elegant nose, with a subtle, complex bittersweet palate. Can be enjoyed as aperitif on ice, with a twist of citrus, or in a broad array of traditional cocktails.
This is the real thing. Don't spoil your high end vodka, bourbon or rye with second rate vermouth, get Dolins.
