I love to drink and cocktails are the way to go if you want a fast start to your evening, afternoon, or morning buzz. I’m not judging. But what about the next day, the morning after, when you are grasping for clarity. In cocktail extraordinaire, rum judge, and all around very interesting guy, Warren Bobrow’s new book, Apothecary Cocktails – Restorative Drinks from Yesterday and Today, you may find your elixir. I just got my copy, am diving into it, and well, gotta warn ya. In the cure there is hurt, but what an enticing hurt it is.
Warren is the author of the great cocktail blog, the cocktail whisperer. Cocktails and booze of the finest kind are his life’s work. What a lucky guy.
You may have spotted his trademark drinking gnome Klaus on Facebook postings or preparing to amaze at a cocktail bar. This book certainly proves his talents, skills I do strive to emulate.
Warren is a nationally published food and spirits columnist who writes for Williams-Sonoma, Foodista, Shakestir, the Beekman Boys, Quayside Publishing Group, Cocktailian, Author/Editor, Photojournalist-Chef and Editor/Author-Wild Table at Wild River Review and many more. Yet Warren is one of the most real approachable people I know.
